The inaugural season of Global Future Talks: Breaking Barriers podcast deep-dives on the topic of ‘Women in Leadership’.

In this episode, Cazadira F. Tamzil (Director, Global Future X by Pijar Foundation) interviews Angeline Callista (Managing Director, Nara Synergy) to talk about waste management, which is a prevalent issue not only in Indonesia but also across the world. The Government of Indonesia has set ambitious waste management targets but these targets cannot be achieved without active community involvement. This is especially important in Indonesia, where over 80% of waste management is done by the informal sector.

Nara Synergy is one example of an enterprise aiming to empower communities and build multi-stakeholder synergy towards green and inclusive development. The enterprise places the environment, community, education and technology at the core of their work.

Listen to the conversation to learn about what Nara Synergy has done in support of waste management in Indonesia and what we all can do as individuals on this issue. The podcast is part of a collective movement promoting collaborative governance to #SolveTheFutureNow!
